LAMDA with Louisa

Description

What the class is for:
I offer personalised, private, online LAMDA examination tuition in Acting, Verse & Prose, Speaking in Public, Devising Drama and Reading for Performance. These sessions are designed to help students develop performance skills, communication confidence, and achieve recognised LAMDA qualifications.

What to expect in a class:
Each class is tailored to the specific exam and individual student. In the first session, we will determine the most suitable subject and level. Students will then be provided with the relevant syllabus, performance material, and any required theory content.
Sessions begin with a short conversation to build communication skills, before moving into focused work on performance pieces, theory and full examination content. I teach closely in line with the LAMDA marking criteria, ensuring students understand exactly what is required to achieve top grades.

The outcome:
Once fully prepared, I will enter the student for their LAMDA exam*. Exams can be taken either at a public centre in a location of your choice or online.
After completing the exam, students receive a certificate and a detailed report form. These qualifications can be added to a CV, and students completing Level 3 exams or higher will also gain UCAS points to support university applications.

My experience:
With over 14 years of experience, and as the founder of Your Drama Class, I deliver structured, supportive lessons that build confidence, creativity, and strong exam technique.
I focus on creating engaging sessions where students feel comfortable and motivated, while also maintaining high standards. A particular emphasis is placed on theory, enabling students to clearly explain and discuss their work- an area that often significantly boosts exam results. My students regularly achieve top grades and show noticeable growth in confidence, communication skills, and performance ability.

Logistics of booking:

Class length guidance:
15 minutes: Introductory, Entry Level & Level 1 (typically up to Year 6)
30 minutes: Level 2 (typically Years 7–9)

If you are unsure which level is right, this will be assessed in the first session. I recommend booking an initial 15-minute class to get started.
